Community Development Medicinal Unit (CDMU) Odisha is a non-profit making charitable organisation, registered under Society Registration Act - 1860 and working since 1987. CDMU works on important issues of National interest such as Equitable Access to Essential Medicines through people friendly distribution net work and education services on Rational Use of Medicines (RUM). Presently 429 Member Organisations are associated throughout the State to Ensure Equitable Access to Essential Medicines. CDMU is maintaining good rapport with Central and State Governments, National and International NGOs, Professional Institutions, Health Care Exports, Professionals and individuals.
Promotion of Health Education, Rational Use of Medicines and ensuring availability of quality generic life saving Medicines in time to the people at affordable cost through Member Organisations.
Ensuring equitable access to essential medicines to people especially to vulnerable sections. Reaching out to people through Member Organizations.
To make highly subsidized quality medicines available to the people through networking partners. Capacity building among different stake holders.
